Theresa K. Quigley
Theresa Quigley is counsel to the firm, concentrating in residential real estate law. Her experience in real estate matters includes representation of buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, in both residential and commercial matters; representation of real estate brokers, having been counsel to several real estate companies including Allan M. Schneider Associates, Inc., Cook Pony Farm, and HANFRA; representation of lenders in residential real estate closings; and representation of individuals in land use matters before local zoning and planning boards.
Ms. Quigley was elected to the East Hampton Town Board in 2009. She served as East Hampton Town Attorney from January 2003 to February 2004. She formerly served as a board member of the Bridgehampton Child Care Center, as a member of the Board of Education of the East Hampton Union Free School District, and as Chair of the East End Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association. Ms. Quigley has represented the East Woods School, a private school in Oyster Bay; the Springs Union Free School District; and the Bridgehampton Union Free School District.
Ms. Quigley is a member of the Suffolk Academy of Law's Advisory Board and the Suffolk County Bar Association. In 2006, she was appointed to the Board of the East Hampton Business Alliance and in 2008, to the Board of Directors of the East Hampton Day Care Learning Center.
Ms. Quigley hosts a weekly cable television talk show, "Views from East Hampton" and previously hosted another talk show, "The Law and You". She is a frequent speaker at real estate seminars.
Ms. Quigley graduated cum laude from the State University at Albany and received her Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, where she was Articles Editor of the Law Review. She also studied in Wuerzburg, West Germany and is proficient in German.
Ms. Quigley is admitted to practice in New York.
