Farrell Fritz Tax Partner, Louis Vlahos, to Receive Pro Bono Service Award from LANY
Louis Vlahos, a Port Washington resident, will receive the Lawyers Alliance for New York's Cornerstone Award at a volunteer recognition event on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Credit Suisse (New York, NY) beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Vlahos will be recognized for his work on ten corporate and tax matters for Lawyers Alliance clients.
Mr. Vlahos leads Farrell Fritz's tax practice. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Society of Columbia Graduates, the Queens Theatre in the Park, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, the Long Island City Business Development Corporation, the Queens Economic Development Corporation, the Queens College Business Advisory Board and on the Advisory Committee of the Queens Museum of Art. He is an Adviser to the Queens College Business Forum. Mr. Vlahos is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County.
Mr. Vlahos earned his LL.M. in taxation from New York University ('93); his J.D. from Harvard Law School ('87) and his A.B. from Columbia College ('84).
