Colleen Spain advises individual and business clients on a range of federal, state, and local tax issues. She helps her clients prepare for and manage disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
Prior to joining Farrell Fritz, Colleen was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where she focused on federal, state, and local tax risk management and controversy resolutions. She has experience with federal, state, and local audit defense and appeals work, protective claim filings, and requests for U.S. Competent Authority assistance.
Colleen recently contributed to the Military VITA Project supported by The American Bar Association Section of Taxation.
While a law student at St. John’s University School of Law, Colleen served as Associate Managing Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.
