Crain’s New York Business – People on the Move: Ryan C. Hild
Ryan C. Hild, Partner in the Real Property Tax Certiorari & Condemnation law practice group, was recently named in the Long Island Business News 2023 Who’s Who in Real Property and Tax Certiorari Law feature.
Ryan has extensive experience in the specialized field of real property valuation, appeal and advocacy, on behalf of commercial property owners in all aspects of real property tax litigation and condemnation law.
From the article:
Given the current state of the economy, owners of commercial real estate might assume that recently published assessed valuations would reflect a decrease in market value for the 2023/24 tax year, Hild said.
“The facts bear a very different result, as assessed market values throughout the Long Island region have spiked as high as 18.8 percent, or an average of 14 percent throughout Suffolk County’s 10 towns,” he said. “This is the result of dramatic drops in assessment ratios, a metric that is established annually by the NYS Department of Finance for each jurisdiction.”
