Becky is a commercial litigator representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration/mediation forums in New York. Her practice focuses on complex commercial disputes in areas including member and shareholder disputes, contract disputes, business and real property valuation, and general business torts. She represents clients in a wide variety of industries, including commercial and residential real estate (brokers, owners), the arts (writers, artists, photographers, agents), hospitality (owners/investors of hotels, restaurants, airport lounges), medical practices, and financial services, among others.
Becky handles the entire lifecycle of complex commercial litigation, from pre-litigation, litigation commencement, discovery (including e-discovery), dispositive motion practice, to trial, including appeals and settlements.
Before joining the firm, Becky was commercial litigator at a boutique New York construction and commercial litigation firm.
Represent major real estate family in litigation, arbitration, and appraisal proceedings over multiple properties across Queens and Nassau Counties.
Represent literary agent/owner in dispute with partner concerning outstanding commissions and other obligations following fall-out between owners.
Represent executor of deceased shareholder’s estate in connection with the buy-out of shareholders shares in conglomerate of beverage distribution and real estate entities.
Represent multiple bar/restaurant entities in connection with litigation and arbitration commenced by disgruntled shareholders/members.
Successfully represented former CEO of epigenetics company in dispute with investors, settling dispute on favorable terms to client.
Successfully represented marketing agent of a sale/financing of a $20 million loan facility in dispute over unpaid success fee, fully resolving dispute in mediation.
