Caitlin Cline is a trusts and estates attorney advising individuals and families with respect to estate planning, administration and litigation. Working with clients of high net worth, including entrepreneurs, real estate developers and corporate executives, Caitlin crafts sophisticated estate plans for transferring wealth to future generations that involve estate, gift and income tax planning, charitable giving strategies, and business succession. She structures and implements complex wealth transfer strategies utilizing the full spectrum of planning vehicles, including grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs) and, for managers of private equity funds, carry derivatives and installment sales.
Caitlin has counseled corporate fiduciary clients in contested trusts and estates litigation and has significant experience advising public and private charitable organizations on tax-exempt status, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Caitlin is a New York City native and has practiced in NY throughout her career. Prior to joining Farrell Fritz, she was an associate in the private client department of a mid-sized law firm and in the private wealth services group of a global law firm. She began her career as a litigation and investigations associate in a major New York City firm, representing banks in multinational, multiagency government and regulatory investigations.
