Good Cause or Gamesmanship: A Review of “Good Cause” in the Commercial Division
Giuseppe Chiara is a commercial litigator. Giuseppe advises employers in all aspects of employment litigation, arbitration, and mediation. He assists in resolving matters arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the New York Human Rights Law, and the New York Labor Law. Additionally, Giuseppe drafts and reviews employee handbooks, personnel policies, employment agreements and separation agreements.
Giuseppe also represents clients across all phases of litigation involving complex commercial disputes, general business torts, and contract disputes. He conducts legal research and analysis, engages in many aspects of discovery, and provides trial support.
Before joining the firm, Giuseppe served as a legal intern for two District Attorney’s office and for a commercial litigation firm. While in law school, Giuseppe was a senior staff member on the St. John’s Law review and participated in the Moot Court Honor Society.
