Hansley Mohan is a land use and real estate lawyer advising property owners and developers in all aspects of commercial real estate development, with a particular focus on zoning and land use. Hansley represents clients at public hearings, presenting zoning applications to municipal boards and agencies throughout Long Island and upstate New York.
Preparing and filing applications for various zoning approvals, Hansley handles zone changes, special permits and variances for clients. An organized and strategic thinker, Hansley coordinates with project design professionals and experts to ensure polished, well-thought-out presentations before public forums.
Hansley drafts, reviews and negotiates all types of land use documents such as easements, restrictive covenants and cross-access agreements. He draws upon deep experience reviewing civil engineering plans, property surveys, title reports, organizational documents and commercial leases to advise clients on how to best approach a range of real estate projects.
Before joining the firm, Hansley was an associate with a boutique real estate law firm in New York. His experience also includes working in a boutique litigation and transactional law firm where he handled a range of commercial litigation, construction, municipal and land use matters.
