Joanna Hazelton is a corporate transactional lawyer representing a wide range of corporate clients in joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions and related corporate governance matters. She advises clients across multiple industries, including manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology and several services sectors.
Joanna’s experience includes advising nonprofit corporations in affiliations and disaffiliations, mergers, dissolutions, organizational matters, and corporate governance. She assists clients to obtain and maintain tax exempt and public charity status and comply with the complex laws regulating nonprofits.
Prior to re-joining the firm, Joanna worked as an associate at a large regional law firm based in Connecticut, representing health care providers such as hospitals, physicians and physician groups, skilled nursing facilities, and other long-term care providers to accomplish business objectives and improve care in their service areas through significant and strategic transactions. She also advised health care providers on facility licensing, changes of ownership, and other regulatory matters.
Joanna is fluent in Portuguese and professionally proficient in Spanish.
