John Racanelli is a real estate lawyer advising developers and owners of commercial properties across New York state. John counsels clients in connection with commercial real estate acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, and construction.
Prior to joining the firm, John held a dual role for many years as both principal and general counsel of a prominent closely-held real estate development and construction business. This first-hand experience deeply informs John’s legal advice to clients as they finance, purchase, build, and lease projects.
Represented a major regional developer in connection with the acquisition of property for a regional shopping mall and also handled the negotiation of easements with several adjoining property owners.
Represented a national industrial developer in connection with drafting and negotiating a master agreement and several interdependent agreements, easements and ground lease related to the relocation of utility lines.
Represented a leading Long Island Developer in connection with the ground lease, construction contract and financing of a new building for a major insurance company.
Represented, pro bono, a charter school in connection with the formation of a leasehold condominium, and the negotiation of access agreements with neighboring properties.
Represented a religious organization in connection with the ground leases of several New York City properties.
