Marty Bunin is a bankruptcy and restructuring lawyer. He advises creditors and creditors’ committees in chapter 11 cases, including cases filed by healthcare providers, service businesses, owners of real estate, hotels and manufacturers.
Marty also represents general contractors, construction managers, lienholders and trust fund claimants in construction company bankruptcies.
He is an experienced mediator of bankruptcy-related disputes in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Before joining the firm, Marty was a bankruptcy and restructuring partner at a large, international law firm.

- Advised Harrison J. Goldin, as examiner of Enron North America Corp., in his investigation into three financial institutions and an accounting firm involved in special-purpose-entity transactions of Enron Corp. (S.D.N.Y.).
- Counseled Chapter 11 debtor BMI Transportation, Inc. and 22 subsidiaries, formerly the largest domestic bulk transport company (S.D.N.Y.); Chapter 11 debtor CIC Acquisition Corporation, a provider and manager of laundry equipment and related services, in a successful prepackaged Chapter 11 case confirmed in 37 days (D. Del); and the Chapter 11 trustee of Olga Company (S.D.N.Y.), a captive coal producer owned by three steel companies.

- Marty is a long-term member of the board of directors of his cooperative apartment corporation and currently its vice president. He is experienced and knowledgeable on coop corporation legal matters.
