Before joining Farrell Fritz, Matt founded and led an award-winning boutique business law firm in Albany, New York providing innovative legal solutions through an entrepreneurial approach. Matt also practiced in a boutique energy law firm, representing large, national and regional clients with a variety of business and litigation matters including highly complex, precedent setting commercial disputes, corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance. Matt began his legal career in New York City, serving as the Principal Law Clerk to a Supreme Court Justice in one of the busiest and most diverse jurisdictions in the world.

Represented co-founder of financial fund in breach of contract and quantum meruit claim through trial of over millions in damages.
Represented founder of closely held Delaware corporation in breach of fiduciary duty litigation arising out of F-Reorganization.
Represented international consulting firm in litigation with former vendor for theft of trade secrets, corporate opportunities and other torts with claims to pierce the corporate veil.
Represented investors in securities fraud claims in federal courts against a Silicon Valley based, Delaware corporation.
Represented business owner of thriving sales and consulting company in business divorce case resulting in successful buyout.
Represented client in the data center and crypto currency space in litigation against former officers and directors of the company for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and breach of contract among other claims.
Represented Upstate New York Marina with respect to an investigation by the New York State Attorney General and successfully quashed the underlying subpoena.
