Ryan C. Hild

Ryan C. Hild is a member of the firm’s Real Property Tax Certiorari & Condemnation Law Practice Group. Ryan is a property tax litigator and strategic valuation consultant who focuses his practice on property valuation, appeals, and strategic advocacy for current and prospective property owners, triple net tenants and real estate developers. Ryan advises national and local retail chains, big box stores, shopping centers, institutional banks, office, industrial and manufacturing plants, warehousing, golf and country clubs, multi-family residential, nursing and assisted living facilities, condominiums and cooperatives.

Handling all aspects of real property tax litigation and condemnation law, Ryan is known for litigating complex commercial property tax appeals throughout New York State, successfully securing millions of dollars in tax refunds, abatements and economic benefits for clients with properties in municipalities from Montauk to Buffalo. In addition to his New York expertise, Ryan proudly serves as co-counsel with law firms throughout the Country, assisting clients with their multi-state property tax mitigation needs.

Ryan serves as special property tax due diligence counsel for national and local property owners, advising them on the real estate tax consequences of acquisitions, renovations, new construction, and leasing. As a deeply trusted resource, his client’s clients also seek his guidance to navigate complexities associated with locally available property tax exemptions and abatements, including payments-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) agreements and representation before Industrial Development Agency (IDA) Boards.

Prior to joining Farrell Fritz, Ryan was a lawyer at Koeppel Martone & Leistman, LLP, a well-known regional New York law firm devoted exclusively to the practice of Real Property Tax Certiorari and Condemnation and has experience handling civil litigation cases at a Manhattan law firm.
